Aeronautical Engineering

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering was started at ADCET, Ashta in the Year 2013 with the objective of providing quality education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering to the Rural Masses & to cater the skilled manpower needs of the Aeronautical Industries. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering started with the Intake of 60 Students (Regular) &20 Students (Direct SE), affiliated to the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The First Batch of 2013 – 2017 has successfully passed out from the department with good overall academic performance & 100% campus recruitment. The Batched 2014 – 2018, 2015 – 2019, 2016 – 2020 are in the Final Year, Third year and Second Year of the B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) program.
            The Department of Aeronautical Engineering has well equipped 10 laboratories to give the required practical and hands-on experience to the students, some of the mentionable equipment’s are, Subsonic Wind Tunnel, Gas Turbine Engines, Radial Piston Engine, and Ultrasonic Testing Setup. The department also has Cessna 152 Trainer Aircraft with all the Instrument panels in a ground worthy condition to train the students. The department is well equipped with 40 Computers to cater the computing facility needs of the students. In the academic year of 2017 – 2018 three laboratories are proposed for the development with the industry tie-up covering the areas of Composites, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Flight Simulation.

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering has signed MoU’s with many Industries and MNC’s such as P3 Consulting Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, Parul Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Blue Sky Aviation Consultancy, Pondicherry & Throttle Aerospace Systems, Bengaluru with the objective to bridge the gap between the industry and the institute and also to promote research activities. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering promotes the culture of research and industry – institute interaction among all the faculty members and students by allowing them to attend various industries and shows that connect industry and institutes, In the academic year 2016 – 2017 the students along with the faculties visited ADMS – 16, Bengaluru & Aero India 2017, Bengaluru & a Faculty Team Visited Organizations like NAL, P3 India Pvt. Ltd., Sandi Engineering, Aeromag Asia Publishers, Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and industries (SIATI), Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC) at Bengaluru to strengthen the Industry Relations.
